As a communication coach, consultant, trainer, and strategist, Elizabeth works with executive clients and organizations all over the world and specializes in business storytelling for technical industries.
In graduate school, Elizabeth researched how narratives help us understand complex technologies, regulatory landscapes, and public policies in the oil and gas industry. After graduating with a Ph.D. in Communication Studies from The University of Texas at Austin, she completed a post-doc at a cybersecurity think tank, translating computer engineering research for political stakeholders and the general public.
Elizabeth has completed 4000+ hours of executive communication coaching, 10 years of university teaching, and 400+ trainings. She's taught courses like Rhetoric of Oil, Leadership Coaching & Consulting, Research Methods, and Business Communication at the undergraduate and MBA levels. Elizabeth also consults with public and private sector organizations on strategy and messaging, energy regulatory and policy issues, program management, and stakeholder communications.
Before life as a researcher and entrepreneur, Elizabeth worked on K Street in Washington, D.C. public affairs. She earned her masters degree in strategic communication from George Mason University and BA in communication and English from Wake Forest University.
