Elizabeth has devoted her life to teaching others and constantly learning about communication. She works with clients at all levels from every industry all over the world- from CEOs to authors, engineers, start-up founders, educators, and consultants.
After graduating with a Ph.D. in Communication Studies from The University of Texas at Austin, she founded Pineapple Strategies, LLC (formerly Goins Executive Communication) and became a lecturer at the McCombs School of Business and Concordia University Texas.
Now, Elizabeth's got 3000+ hours of communication coaching, 10 years of university teaching, and 300+ trainings under her belt. In addition to running Pineapple, she frequently collaborates with other well-known consulting and training firms, including Duarte, BetterUp, Udemy for Business, and The Creative Executive.
Before life as a researcher and entrepreneur, Elizabeth worked on K Street in Washington, D.C. public affairs. She earned her masters degree in Strategic Communication from George Mason University and BA in Communication and English from Wake Forest University.
Elizabeth grew up in Alexandria, VA and is proud to have called Texas home for the last thirteen years. She loves fitness, gardening, cooking, and enjoying lively discussions (preferably with a delicious Syrah) about culture, business, politics, and sports with her husband and their friends.
